Also make sure your computer is getting adequate
ventilation from cooling fans.
If you know how to get into your computers bios, you
can see if the system and cpu fans are running optimal levels for cooling.
Take a look and make sure the cpu or other areas are
not coded in dust. This type of dust can get inside the cpu fan and other
fans of the system case and power supply. Make sure all areas are clean and
dust free.
If you are still having problems and windows media player
freezes, then you may need to call the maker of your computer system.
If you are under warranty, many times they will send
someone out to your house to fix the computer system. Or call the store you
bought it from.
One last thing you can try if windows media player freezes is
to upgrade media player. In media player there is a tools menu on the top.
In the tools menu you will find an option to upgrade
media player. Clicking on this feature will allow the player to check for
upgrades. Sometimes this can fix the problem.
Last but not least check and make sure all of your
drivers for all of your programs and hardware are all upgraded and running
the latest drivers.
You can check all of these from the device manager in
windows.
As you can see if windows media player freezes you do have
options, so make sure you check out everything before you do.
