windows error reporting

Windows error reporting can be a handy little tool, well that is if you do not get a lot of errors in windows.  We believe it is a good thing to use.

This allows Microsoft the chance to see errors they otherwise would not be able to see and diagnose.

This tool was implemented to help make windows better.

windows error reporting is turned on by default in windows xp.  However if it becomes a nuisance, you can also turn it off.  More on that in a minute.

If you do use Windows error reporting, you also have the options of using the Microsoft online crash analyzer.

This allows you to track your errors and Microsoft will even report back what they have found.

You may have to wait a week or two for them to post what they have found, but once they do you will be shown options about what may be causing the your computer problems.

Tracking errors over time can only be a good thing and allows you to see if there are more serious issues with your pc.

Windows error reporting started with windows xp as one of the new more stable systems features when it was released.

If the windows error reporting is becoming too much for you and you tend to get a lot of them, then you may want to turn it off.

Just keep in mind tough, you will not be able to sue this powerful feature.

To turn off windows error reporting you can find it from the properties menu by right clicking on my computer.

Once there you will want to select the advanced tab and look all the way at the bottom right for the error reporting button.

Choose the button and select turn of error reporting.

In summary, windows error reporting can help you troubleshoot problems related to your computer but only if you leave it on.
