Is you pc
infected with a virus? If so then you have
a few choices for virus removal. The first
and most obvious option would be to call your
local computer repair shop and have them fix it.
The second option
for
virus removal is to remove it yourself.
There are a number of ways to do this and it
also depends on your computers current state.
Some viruses will not even let you get back into
windows and keep rebooting your pc.
|
This is one of
the hardest viruses to remove because you really
can't get back into the computer to remove it.
If you have this problem you can try booting
windows in to safe mode and see if you can then
perform virus removal.
Safe mode is a
special diagnostic part of windows that doesn't
load windows with all the things that usually
load when you start up windows in regular mode.
If you have
windows XP, when you start up your computer just
press the F8 key before it boots up into
windows. It will then give you a few
options. You want to choose the option
"safe mode".
If your computer
loads then you can probably perform virus
removal
using your anti virus software or an online
virus scanner while in safe mode.
If you cannot get
into safe mode then you will need to get access
to a virus emergency disk for virus removal. Ask a friend if
they have anti virus software and if they would
be willing to make you the repair disk.
Once you get the
disk. Put it into your floppy and reboot
your computer and see if this will help you
with virus removal.
If this does not
then you may be stuck with the above option of
taking it too your local store. Tell them
you think you have a virus and to call you with
a quote once they check it out and see what is
going on and do the virus removal.
So, with all this
being said. The best thing you can do is
have good anti virus software installed on your
computer and make sure you run it weekly, doing
so will help with virus removal.
Sometimes even a
good anti virus software package will not always
see every virus on your computer. This is
why you need to scan at least once a week for
virus removal.
New viruses are
being written weekly. There is an
estimation of about 200 new ones hitting weekly.
This is why it is so important to keep updated
anti virus software on your computer.
Learning virus
removal will
help protect you data and keep prying eyes out
of your computer.
