If you upgrade video card you can see a major
performance boost from your computer. Ok, so now that you know it’s great
how do you do it?
You need to know a few things about your pc first. If
you bought your computer form a company you can always call them to find out
what kind of video card you need.
You do not always have to buy a video card from the
manufacturer of you computer.
What you need to know is the format of video card you
will need. It can either be a PCI card or an AGP card. If at all possible
use an AGP video card if you can.
The technology is better suited for video cards.
If you do decide to upgrade video card yourself, then
you will need to open your computer cover and see what kind of card you can
use.
When you look at the motherboard you will see the PCI
slots near the bottom of the board and if the board has an AGP slot it will
be more near the top near the CPU and it is usually a smaller slot.
Just make sure you check with whoever made your
computer before you upgrade video card. You will need to know what type of
video card your computer can take.
You can then make the video card purchase yourself once
you have an idea.
