Upgrade video card

There are a few reasons why you might want to upgrade video card

If your computer came with a good video card, you should be able to play games and multi task fairly easily.

However, if you have an older computer or even a new one with an average video card then you may want to upgrade video card.  If you do upgrade, you should be able to play just about any game out today on the market.

Today’s modern games do require more memory than every before.  Even the new windows operating systems need more memory from a video card in order to run the operating system properly.

If you upgrade video card you can see a major performance boost from your computer.  Ok, so now that you know it’s great how do you do it?

You need to know a few things about your pc first.  If you bought your computer form a company you can always call them to find out what kind of video card you need.

You do not always have to buy a video card from the manufacturer of you computer.

What you need to know is the format of video card you will need.  It can either be a PCI card or an AGP card.  If at all possible use an AGP video card if you can.

The technology is better suited for video cards.

If you do decide to upgrade video card yourself, then you will need to open your computer cover and see what kind of card you can use.

When you look at the motherboard you will see the PCI slots near the bottom of the board and if the board has an AGP slot it will be more near the top near the CPU and it is usually a smaller slot.

Just make sure you check with whoever made your computer before you upgrade video card.  You will need to know what type of video card your computer can take.

You can then make the video card purchase yourself once you have an idea.
