Where and how to find them!

The way to find
software patches is by doing a search on Google if you do not know the
website for the company that made your software.
You find these by doing keyword searches. Let’s
say you have some software and you know it needs updating, but there is
no updater for the program. You would then go to Google and type in the
name of the program and the word update. |
If that does not result in anything then you may have to
change around your keywords a bit until you find something.
You will not always end up at the company’s website.
Sometimes you will find a forum where people talk about
updates and they will lead you right to many software patches you may need.
You can also do a search for in computer help forums for
software patches. Just type in the software path you are looking for and then
the word forum.
Once again try different variations for keywords until you
come up with a winner.
Some software patches can also be found within the program
you want to update. Usually these can be found from an options or tools menu
within the program.
Anti virus software almost always have a way to update the
program. If you are not sure then call the company you bought the software
from.
It is a good thing to look for software patches at least
once a month for your programs.
Windows, office, antivirus, spyware and other software all
need to be updated from time to time.
These are needed because people find vulnerabilities in
software all the time and you need to keep your computer secure.
If you have all of these programs make a list of which ones
need to be updated and then check them off each and every month you check for
software patches.
This way you will not forget and keep your computer
secure.
The one thing you need software patches for, will be
windows. Windows almost always has some kind of update that needs to be
performed.
To make this happen automatically you can turn on automatic
updates from the control panel in windows. This will allow windows
software patches to download automatically.
