If you do not have either disk you can
search the internet and see if you can find a website which
still offers the older versions of internet explorer. Just do a
search on Google for the version of explorer you are looking
for.
If you have a newer version of windows such
as windows xp then you options to reinstall internet explorer
are much better even if you do not have a reinstall disk. You
can still find versions of internet explorer online from the
Microsoft download website for windows xp.
If you are having a problem trying to
reinstall internet explorer or you would just like to upgrade
your browser software then you can go to the windows download
website. Just download the version of internet explorer that
you want and then choose to install it after download.
You can find the windows download icon from
the windows start menu in windows xp. Just go to start and then
programs. You should see the icon all the way at the top of the
windows start menu.
You can also reinstall internet explorer by
going to the windows control panel and choose to reinstall
internet explorer. You will need to go to the start menu and
then choose the control panel.
Once in the control panel you need to
choose add or remove programs. Once in the control panel you
will see add/remove windows components on the very left hand
side of the window. Choose the add/remove windows components
and you will see a menu pop up. It may take a minute to pop up,
just be patient and wait a minute.
Once the windows components windows comes up you will then see
internet explorer a few icons down. Go ahead and uncheck it to
uninstall internet explorer. Once you do this restart you
computer and go back to the same place to reinstall internet
explorer. Just go ahead and check the box again and this will
then reinstall internet explorer.
