Recommended anti virus programs

So what are the recommended anti virus programs?  That is a pretty easy answer if you are looking for a paid anti virus solution.

You need to look at one of the big four anti virus software programs.

Those programs are Norton, MacAfee, AVG and Trend Micro.

These are the companies that have been around the longest and have stood the test of time.

Another recommended anti virus solution you can look at is AVG anti virus.  AVG is a good program that also offers a free version.  While it is not as robust as the paid version or the other three software makers, it’s good to at least have something on your system.

Viruses are becoming smarter and smarter every day and you need a program that will be running in the back ground of windows.  The reason for this is so it can catch any malicious activity to your computer system.

Not all anti virus programs were created alike.  Some come with certain features more than others.

The main things you want to look for when considering a paid anti virus solution are:  A programs that will scan you system 24/7 in the back ground.  You also want a software programs that has the ability to scan for all viruses and act upon what it finds.

Other things you may want which Norton offers are the ability to keep up to date with internet security threats.  This means that the software maker scans and scours the internet for virus activity and other things that can be harmful to the health of your computer system.

Once you have a paid anti virus solution in place it is best to try and test it out and run a scan at least every other week when you first get it.  The reason for this is because not all anti virus software will catch all types of viruses.  So you need to be sure it is doing it job.

This can be easily done by selecting the scan virus option from your software program.

Out of the above three paid anti virus solutions Norton has been around the longest.  They are the most trusted.  However this does not mean they are trouble free.

If you install a copy of Norton on your system make sure it is running properly, because sometimes it can be quirky and not run if there are viruses on your system already.  If this is the case then you will need to make sure your system is free of all viruses and then re-install the program.

Once this happens it will run beautifully and usually without a hitch.

If you are not sure if the program is running properly, help is only a phone call away to your PC manufacturer or the software maker.  Just give them a call if you cannot find help from a friend or anyone else.  You paid for the software so they should have no problems at least pointing you in the right direction on how to get it installed properly.

The other anti virus solutions run a second close to Norton and are getting better all the time.  If you find yourself low on funds and cannot afford the most recommended software then again, having something on your system is better then nothing at all.

Just make sure you keep everything up to date and you will protect your data.

Below you can see where Norton’s system auto protect is set to on.  This is very important for keeping your computer protected.
