Pay pal scam - Don't fall for this one!

The pay pal scam has been around for a few years now and seems to only be getting worse.

This is another classic scam of the internet.  What happens here are people have been know to lose money and some times really high amounts.

This scam once again starts with a simple email to thousands of computer users.

What these scammers are looking for are vulnerable people or new computer users who don’t know any better.

Let us start of by saying this:  Pay pal will never email you about your account information.

In this scam email, they start off the subject line with something to the effect of: Urgent response needed for your Pay Pal account.

If you see this in any email headline you should delete it and report it to pay pal right away.

Pay pal scams have been know to ask for account, credit card and bank account information.  Once again never under any circumstances give out or email any information back to anyone.

What these scammers do is include a link to a website that looks like it is pay pals.

Do not click this link!  The link will say paypal.com sometimes in it, however these thieves can manipulate these links to look legitimate but, what they really do is go to a whole different website.

Once an unsuspecting computer user clicks the link and goes to this website, it looks just like it is a regular pay pal site.

However, if you look at the address bar at the top of your browser you will see that it is a completely different website.

Once there they ask you to fill out your information.  Sometimes including credit card information.  Stay away from any pay pal emails that you receive.

Remember to always call or email pay pal directly if you have any questions.

You can also report these emails directly to pay pal.  Will this help catch these thieves?  Most likely not.

However, reporting this to them allows them to know how bad these scam artists are hitting the internet and they can sometimes diagnose these emails and get to the root of the problem.

So if you receive any emails like this delete them because it is a pay pal scam.
