Trojan horse viruses are one of the biggest blames in
this type of attack against a website. Many computers though out the
internet are infected with a backdoor trojan horse virus.
It is this virus that allows a hacker to take control
of this computer with software. However it does not stop there.
Once hundreds of computers are virus infected, all of
these computers can then be controlled to send out hundreds of service
requests for whatever website a hacker wants. This is down through the use
of backdoor software.
These infected computers become what are known as

services (IIS) should always keep their servers up to date and protected.
Microsoft does offer updates and news directly from their corporate home
website.
In the past it has been IIS from a windows server that
has caused most of the problems with denial of service attacks.

A denial of
service attack can also cripple a website to the point where it may need to
