Please keep in mind that worm and Trojan
viruses are among the worst and most damaging to personal
computers worldwide.
The goal of the beagle family of viruses
seems to be spam. Delivering unwanted junk email to millions of
computer users around the globe.
This virus can also spread quickly through
file sharing networks like Limewire. They seem to place
themselves into directories that contain the word “shar” in
their name. Then users download them unsuspectingly.
The beagle virus can and will also try to
hide itself from personal computer firewalls by using DLL files
of mailing programs.
The virus arrives as an attachment which
should not be opened for any reason and should be deleted upon
arrival.
Once a computer is infected, the virus will
then send a signal to hackers letting them know another computer
has been compromised and they may proceed.
The worm version of the virus is easily
removed with anti virus software while the Trojan may not be so
easy.
For the Trojan version you may need to
delete values from the windows registry. All in all it should
not be too bad to remove.
