Marketing on the Internet.

What is marketing on the internet anyway?  If you are trying to marketing anything on the internet then you will need to learn the rules of the road.  Like anything else it takes time to create your own affiliate empire.  However, if you learn the rules, take your time and be patient, you can succeed.  Don't ever believe anyone that tells you it's easy to succeed overnight.  Run from that person if you ever see them.

Ok, so how do I market Virus Hacker Free?

There are a few ways you can do this.  If you have a website you can post your clickbank hop link in the way of potential customers.  You can market via Google ad words, in your ezine or even word of mouth.  However you choose to do it, is up to you but, whatever you do please do not spam!

You have to think like the customer!

One of the most important things when trying to market any product online is you have to think in terms of who would want and need the product.  Try and think of who the product would appeal to.  Try not to go after huge general markets such as computer viruses.  Here's and example: 

If someone hits the search engines looking for say "computer viruses"  Do you know what they are looking for.  The answer is not really.  They could be looking for anything about computer viruses.  They could be a computer guru who knows everything about computers and just needs some information on maybe new viruses out there. 

So lets try to boil it down to who would want to buy Virus Hacker Free.  One group that comes to mind is new computer users, who are worried about the internet and what it could maybe do to their information and computer.  Can you start to see where I am going with this. 

Here's an example of the wrong target marketing.  Lets say you sold vitamins and you wanted to sell them at your local stadium during a football game.  So you set up shop and start to sell your vitamins but you have little success.  Why?  Well think about it.  It may or may not seem obvious but lets try and break it down to why.  The reason is that most people who go to football games may be interested in health but if they are they are not at that point in time.  And most of the people there will only be interested in the game, beer, hotdogs and everything else you see there. 

Now you may have some success if you started to give away free vitamin sample while people were walking into the game.  But this would be to bring people into your store later.  So as you can see, trying to sell vitamins during a football game is a bad idea. 

So again try and think about who would need more information about protecting their computer or who is worried about computer security and would pay for a solution. 

Research is key

When trying to think like someone who may want to buy Virus Hacker Free, narrow your focus down and do some research.  Ask yourself questions like, who wants to buy this and why and where does this fit into my website.  After you ask these questions, hit the overture keyword tool and do some research.  Research is very very important.  When I did some research I found that people were typing in words like computer security, internet security, computer tech support. 

Remember the word virus or hacker is too general.  Drill down and try to find a niche market that you can easily identify and then go after that market with the keywords you have chosen.  focus your advertising efforts on those people and you will have success.

If you have ever read any book by any of the internet marketing gurus.  You will find that some agree on some things and some agree on nothing.   When you have a good product and have your target markets all worked out, then it is time to start marketing like crazy. 

Below I list the 2 best ways to market on the internet.  Remember, there are other ways to market and you should never stop learning.  But concentrate on these 2 ways and then and only then when you master these move to your next step.

• 1 Search Engine Marketing

Marketing through the search engines is critical to your success.  Make sure you understand this all important task very well.  One thing that you need to understand here is that you need content.  Content is what will drive your site for the search engines to find you.  Make sure you are original and only use your own content.

• 2 Writing Articles

Article writing is becoming more and more popular these days.  And for good reason.  But, I see so many people getting it wrong.  Either their headlines are boring or they don't know how to format the text on their article page. 

You need to learn to get this right if you want to make this work.  Let's say you own a travel agency and you want to write an article about saving on airfare.  first and foremost make your article real with good information.  Do Not make your article a plug for your business.  That is where most people go wrong. 

So, you write your article and you title it "Easy ways to save on airfare!"  Hmm now what does that tell me or anyone else looking at the article title.  Well absolutely NOTHING!  Sorry for yelling there!  Just trying to get the point across. 

Instead why don't you title your article something like this.  "Save on airfare, over $100.00 every time you FLY!  Can you see the difference there.  The difference there is being specific.  You want to turn your prospects head and make them see what is in it for them.  Remember the headline is always the most important part of any ad.  Get them to read the headline and you are half of the way there.
